Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP)

(LOS ANGELES, CA) — Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) wishes to thank AOE/World Telemedia 2005 for supporting the ASACP mission by distributing the ASACP fliers at their upcoming conference and expo in Amsterdam on November 16-18, 2005 (AOEXpo.com).

“AOE has been very generous. They offered exhibit space and to include ASACP on a panel. I wish we could attend this conference, but we have limited financial and staff resources. So, all we could do this year was to send ASACP fliers. We are hoping to gain more Sponsors next year. This would allow us to attend a European tradeshow since as is the Internet, child pornography is an international issue. We all need to battle this problem,” according to Joan Irvine, executive director, ASACP.

ASACP is the organization that helps the adult site industry make a difference in the battle against child pornography. In addition to its hotline, ASACP provides a self-regulatory vehicle for its members through a Code of Ethics that promotes the protection of children through responsible, professional business practices (ASACP.org/bestpractices.html). ASACP has been named to the 2005 Associations Advance America Honor Roll, a national awards competition sponsored by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), Washington, DC (ASACP.org/press/pr071805.html).

If you are one of the more than 5,800 sites that take a stand against child pornography by displaying the ASACP logo but are not a Sponsor or a recently signed-up Approved Member or Supporter, please take advantage of the new benefits.
