(WOODLAND HILLS, CA) — The Free Speech Coalition is pleased to announce the appointment of Connor Young of Ynot Radio to the Board of Directors. “We are really excited to have a representative from the online segment of the adult industry on the Board,” stated FSC Executive Director Michelle L. Freridge, “Connor is an insightful journalist with a great deal to contribute to the fight for the First Amendment rights of the industry.”
Connor Young is Editor-in-Chief of Ynot.com, a resource website for adult Internet professionals. Young has worked in online adult entertainment since 1997, when he published and marketed his first adult websites. He has written about the adult Internet industry since 2000, and his articles have been widely read on Ynot.com, TheAdultWebmaster.com, and in AVN Online magazine.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Sacramento, and is currently working on a Master of Arts degree in Houston, Texas. Young is a passionate defender of First Amendment rights, and a consistent opponent of federal obscenity laws.
Young will be replacing incumbent Board Member and long time supporter, Nick Orlandino, owner of Pipedream Products, who resigned from the board earlier in May. “Nick put a lot of time and thought into fund-raising events like the golf tournament and Night of the Stars,” said FSC President Julie Stewart, co-owner of Sportsheets, International. “He will be missed.” FSC Board members are unpaid volunteers who have their own businesses to run in addition to the work they do for FSC.
The Free Speech Coalition is the trade organization of the adult entertainment industry. Its mission is to safeguard the industry from oppressive governmental regulation and to promote good business practices within the industry.
