This is regarding your article "Eroticy Business Practices Fraudulent?" [Eroticy suing, bullying people into silence, former allegations asserted to be true.] (See story AINews.com/story/7143/ linked in the box to the right.)
My name is Scott Duncan. I am an engineer in the city of Toronto. I provide infrastructure and software support several dating sites in the Toronto area. In 2002 Eroticy launched a Massive spamming campaign on our property.
Despite Numerous warnings they did not desist. We obtained several court orders and obtained damning information about them (and later the same confirmed from former employees).
They are suing myself and my spouse (separately) to keep us silent…
They sued us from the state of Florida, and dropped the case before discoveries. A common tactic. (They appear to have bullied "SteffysPlace" into silence)
Then they did it in Canada, except they ran into a snag. In Canada when you sue someone, you need the defendant’s Permission to drop a case. We won’t give them that permission. 🙂

Well now we are preparing for discoveries… This case has been going for two years now. Every motion they have Lost.
Googling "Webcapades" lead me to you. I would like your permission to use the content of that article in court, as similar fact evidence. [Granted -Ed.] All the allegations in your article are True.
Erroneous info about Webcapades/Eroticy: There is not nor has their ever Been a "Lisa Martin". A former employee actually turned over emails laughing about how they turned over the problem to "Lisa", etc. All staff check this account.
We are about to hit them with the hardest part of their case yet in October. We will likely win and obtain Judgment then, although enforcement could be an issue.

We were asked at one time for our impression of Eroticy by an email from "Lisa". It seemed as though they were looking for testimonials from those they sent press releases to. It seemed from the tone of the email that the person writing the email wasn’t aware that I had also been a member. I thought this was odd since I had been dealing with "Lisa" over the course of our entire business relationship with them. I personally wrote back with some concerns about fraudulent accounts for a second time as I had done when I was a member and was again ignored. (Please see my comments at the end of the story linked in the box to the right.)
In my opinion if they were on the level I would have gotten a response from my comments and not silence. A few days after the story "Eroticy Business Practices Fraudulent?" was run, the banner that was linked to Erotic.com from Adult Industry News was removed from their site. I presume our account with them was deleted because of the story. With their banner disappearing as it did, and the fact they never address any complaints, only confirms my suspicions that those running the company are either perpetrating or condoning the fraud.
