(ATLANTA, GA) — What was lost in the five defendants including Steven Kaplan pleading two weeks ago was that the Gold Club trial continues this week for the remaining two defendants. Michael DiLeonardo, a reputed Gambino crime captain, and former Atlanta police officer, Reginald Burney continue to be on trial to try and clear their name.
Prosecutor Art Leach is hoping to introduce the videotape mentioned earlier tin the proceedings that shows DiLeonardo and crime boss John Gotti embracing.
Burney contenting he is innocent throughout the 3-month trial has rejected a plea that would’ve resulted in probation earlier this month.
