(ATLANTA, GA) — Publicly denying he was granted sexual favors by Gold CLub dancers, Toronto Raptor’s All Star forward Antonio Davis took to the national airways this evening as he appeared on FOX Sports Net’s "The Last Word."
Saying he did visit the Gold Club in Atlanta once early in his career, and calling it "dark, crowded and loud", Davis said he neither participated in the happenings described in the trial by Thomas "Ziggy" Sicignano or saw any of the acts mentioned taking place. Davis, who was on vacation with his wife nd kids when the allegations surfaced, said his family especially his wife was very upset his name surfaced.
Meanwhile back in court, Sicignano still on the stand, seemed aware that Davis was going public with his denial. Sicignano again interjected into testimony that is was Davis who asked him for two girls to be delivered to his hotel room. Sicignano stated Davis was visably excited when he learned two Gold Club dancers would come to hs room, including one named "Cat’ who has said she did have sexual intercourse with Davis.
Sicignano, still on the stand at the end of the day Tuesday, wanted to get accross that any of the arranging of girls meeting athletes he appeared involved in was in effect just carrying out the orders of Gold Club owner, Steve Kaplan.
