The Supreme Court took these actions Monday:

-Ruled, 6-3, that a radio host cannot be sued for airing a phone conversation taped illegally by a third party.

-Said it will decide whether a law aimed at curbing children’s access to online pornography tramples the rights of adults to see or buy what they want on the Internet.

-Rejected a challenge to the way Houston elects nine of its 14 city council members, turning away arguments the system was motivated by racial considerations.

-Without comment, declined to hear Whitewater figure David Hale’s complaint that he was wrongly prosecuted in Arkansas after an independent counsel cut a deal for his testimony against former President Clinton (news – web sites) and others.

-Declined to review the case of an amateur artist who successfully claimed that the Baltimore Ravens football team stole his idea for a team logo.
