Just uncovered — these four different ”Blogtur.com” sites are allegedly stealing content: Webcam-FreeSex.Blogtur.com, Webcam-Babes.Blogtur.com, Wwwsex.Blogtur.com, and AdultSexWebcam.Blogtur.com. Look for scrapers and hotlinking!
Is your bandwidth unusually high? Is your ranking in Google slipping? Look for scrapers and disable hotlinking. Devious webmasters are pulling your content by RSS feed and inline linking to your images, right from under your fingertips — and cashing in on your hard work!
Switcheroo
You might even want to trade out the hotlinked image with something that will call them thieves on their own website like the image to the right on this story. If you see an image like that anywhere but on AINews it means they are thieves piggybacking AINews bandwidth. (Fair usage excluded.)
All of the AINews pictures have now been replaced with that statement and where to find the original material, and will show on the offending sites as they are still hotlinked to AINews.com. I only wish I could have made the replacement jpg and active link.
These four different Blogtur.com sites are the ones ”allegedly” stealing content — Webcam-FreeSex.Blogtur.com, Webcam-Babes.Blogtur.com, Wwwsex.Blogtur.com, and AdultSexWebcam.Blogtur.com — and all have multiple duplicate pages from AINews and at least fifteen other websites. (Listed below.) Whole articles are being taken, no credit is being given, and no links are provided back to the sources, which implies they are taking credit for creating the articles.
All the stories on these websites appear to be scrapes (stolen) AND ALL pictures are leeching bandwidth from another site. Hotlinking is an additional slap in your face by a copyright infringer. Hotlinking to your pictures, though not a violation of copyright law, will cost you bandwidth as well as diluting your brand and lowering your ranking in search engines if Google mistakingly thinks you are the duplicator and ranks the thief higher than you!

The operator of these sites (www.webcam-freesex.blogtur.com, webcam-babes.blogtur.com, wwwsex.blogtur.com, and adultsexwebcam.blogtur.com) is scraping content from many sites, including Adult Industry News (AINews.com), and has many duplicates of these stolen articles, and the pictures which accompany those articles are all hotlinked to the scraped sites, thus using stolen bandwidth.
The other sites being scraped were notified during this investigation. They are:

This material may be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.” displayed on the scraped article in italics. (The word ”not” appears to have been deleted from the AP warning not to re-publish.)
