(CANOGA PARK, CA) — The Free Speech Coalition (FSC) has begun the voting in its 2009-2010 Board Elections. Ballots went to active FSC members via regular mail and via email as of Wednesday. The voting period will close on Dec. 17.

Incumbents that are seeking to retain their positions on the Board include NakedSword.com Founder Tim Valenti, Evotum Marketing Director Mara Epstein, Topco Sales Director Lynn Swanson, AVN Legal Writer Mark Kernes, as well as attorneys Jeffrey Douglas and Reed Lee.

New candidates to the FSC Board include XBIZ President Alec Helmy, UnZipped Media Legal Compliance Manager Adam Lucas, Channel One Releasing Co-Founder Rob Novinger, Cybersocket Co-Founder Morgan Sommer, Home Pleasure Parties Plan Association CEO Tamara Bell and Titan Media in-House Legal Counsel Gill Sperlein.

Candidates’ bios and commentary can be viewed at FreeSpeechCoalition.com.

”After watching how successful voters were in affecting great change by turning out at the polls during the Presidential elections, I hope that enthusiasm will carry over to FSC members, and that they will be pro-active and get out the vote,” FSC Executive Director Diane Duke said.

”This is a chance to choose representatives that will speak on behalf of your business interests – and with issues like piracy, obscenity and other anti-adult issues, there has never been a better time to get unified and organized.”

Board terms are effective for two years, so the winners of this election will serve on the FSC Board throughout 2009-2010.

Election results will be announced on Jan. 2.

Established in 1991, the Free Speech Coalition’s mission is to lead, protect and support the growth and well-being of the adult entertainment community.
