(LAS VEGAS, NV) — With an eye to increased business and protecting the rights of Americans to view entertainment of their choice, each year members of the billion dollar gentlemen’s club industry gather at an industry convention created solely for them.
It began in 1993 with only a few hundred attendees, but has since grown. And grown. And now, nine years later, the Annual Gentlemen’s Club Owners Expo, produced by EXOTIC DANCER Publications, will draw over 3,000 adult nightclub owners, feature entertainers and industry professionals to the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas from August 28-30.
“We at ED are proud to say that we have created an event which, over the last nine years, has become a defining moment for members of the adult nightclub industry,” says Expo producer Don Waitt of EXOTIC DANCER Publications, publishers of both the industry’s leading guide to gentlemen’s clubs and a bi-monthly industry magazine for club owners, club managers, dancers and other industry professionals. “Each year, members of this much maligned industry come to an event where they receive the respect and attention that they so much deserve. And with such an incredible venue as Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, how can they help but have a great time!”
Surely, the thousands of Expo attendees come to the annual event to have a great time. But they also come to improve their businesses or feature careers. They learn about the most pressing issues in the adult nightclub industry from leading attorneys and other industry professionals; they see over 200 companies exhibit products specifically tailored for them; they witness performances from the hottest feature entertainers in the industry today; and they get a priceless opportunity to meet with old friends and make new ones among their adult industry compatriots.
Expo 2001, which is not open to the public, will feature three days of informative panel sessions, a 250-booth Tradeshow, several Feature Entertainer Showcases, private parties and the 2001 Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show, honoring the industry’s top nightclubs, entertainers and other industry professionals.
Immediately following the 9th Annual Gentlemen’s Club Owners Expo will be the 5th Annual Fan Fair. At this special two-day event, fans will have the unique opportunity to meet with over 150 of the industry’s hottest feature entertainers, magazine covergirls and adult movie starlets. The ladies will once again be competing in the Annual EXOTIC DANCER Pool Party & Bikini Contest at the gorgeous Mandalay Bay pool on Friday, August 31. And on Saturday, September 1, the entertainers will be signing autographs, posing for pictures and selling their posters and videos at the Fan Fair Tradeshow. “Anyone who is a fan of exotic entertainers knows what a rare opportunity this is. To be able to meet and party with hundreds of top entertainers is a dream come true for some. And for Las Vegas residents and lucky tourists who happen to be in Vegas that week, Fan Fair 2001 is a real bonus,” says Waitt.
The registration fees for all-access passes for Expo 2000 are $295 for industry professionals and $195 for entertainers. Registered Expo attendees can attend Fan Fair for free. The Fan Fair 2001 registration fees are $99 for a general admission pass, or $199 for a VIP pass which includes an all-access laminate, special and early seating at all the events, and a commemorative Fan Fair 2001 T-shirt that will be signed by all the entertainers.
