(WARRENDALE, PA) — There have been two important changes to this year’s Empire Awards – the categories have been expanded to include more nominees, and the date has been moved to Friday, February 22.
"We wanted to open up the categories to include more nominees this year," said Mike Barry, Director of Adult Operations at the Empire. "There were just too many good films released in 2001 for us to narrow it down, so we decided, at the last minute, to expand the categories and leave it up the critics."
The awards will still be announced on the Tera Show, but there will be a special broadcast held on Friday, February 22 at 10PM EST. See you there!!
