(LOS ANGELES, CA) — Adult Video News has posted its 2002 AVN Awards nominations, and industry leader Wicked Pictures is pleased to announce that it has received 57 mentions.
Brad Armstrong’s Euphoria, the company’s most intricate production to date, garnered nine nominations, including Best Video Feature, Best Director – Video, Best Actress – Video (Sydnee Steele), and Best Actor – Video (Mike Horner). Jonathan Morgan’s XXX Training received six nods, including Best Comedy, Best Director – Video, Best Actress – Video (Serenity), and Best Supporting Actress – Video (Zana). Red Ezra’s Fast Cars & Tiki Bars received a total of eight nominations, including Best Vignette Tape and Best Director – Video. And while only in it’s second full year as a player in the DVD market, Wicked snared nine nominations in DVD related categories, including Best DVD, Best DVD Extras, and Best DVD Menus for titles like The Gate and M: Caught In The Act.
Fourteen VHS titles – over a third of Wicked’s production output for the past year – have received nominations from AVN. Wicked Girl Devinn Lane snared nominations for both Best Solo Sex Scene – Video (an award she won last year for In Style) and Best All Girl Sex Scene. Award-winning designers Brad & Cynthia Willis work has been acknowledged with Best Packaging noms going out to Euphoria, The Gate, Fast Cars & Tiki Bars, Beautiful/Nasty, and the DVD edition of Jenna’s Revenge. And, in addition to their other nominations, both Serenity and Sydnee Steele are up for Performer Of The Year.
