BUDAPEST, Hungary (AP) – A former Hungarian pornography star who is currently a member of Italy’s parliament had been a communist spy in her youth, she said in a television interview Sunday.
Ilona Staller, better known as Cicciolina, the star of countless pornographic movies, said she was 19 and working as a waitress at a major international hotel in Budapest when she was recruited.
“Three well dressed men approached me one day and asked if I would like to make more money and when I said yes, they told me what to do,” Staller told RTL Klub TV.
Staller, 47, said she received no special training to work as a spy, but was told which hotel guests to talk to and what to ask.
She continued the work for a few years before emigrating to Italy.
Staller was interviewed for a program on the disappearance of files on people who worked for the secret police, most of which are believed to have been destroyed.
