(BEVERLY HILLS, CA)– Playboy Entertainment Group, Inc., a subsidiary of Playboy Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE:PLA – news), has signed a deal with Full Moon Universe, Inc. (OTC-BB:MOON – news) to produce two erotic features that will begin production this month.
The films, being shot domestically and on locations in Europe, will be under Full Moon’s subsidiary, Surrender Cinema. The world-wide television and video-on-demand rights will be retained by Playboy TV Networks while Full Moon will keep the home video and DVD rights.
“I have a 20 year professional history with Charles Band, and I am proud to create an association with his company and ours,” said Jim English, President, Playboy Entertainment Group, Inc. “I know that Surrender Cinema will deliver unique, sexy and compelling movies that our audiences will enjoy. We’ll be utilizing Full Moon’s advanced imaging technology to create amazing effects. And filming in various global locations brings added value to the product for our partnership with Playboy TV International.”
Charles Band, Chairman and founder of Full Moon, commented, “We’re delighted to have the opportunity to join forces with Playboy in bringing Surrender Cinema’s high quality erotica to a larger audience worldwide.”
“Castle Eros” (working title) will be shot in Italy and other European locations. An ancient castle becomes the enchanted location where visitors’ erotic longings are fulfilled. But were they dreams or reality? Computer generated animation and images will bring this sensual tale of fantasy to vivid life.
“Passion Lane”, a contemporary story about a weekend bacchanal where guests role-play in an unscripted–and uninhibited–story, will be filmed on location in the Los Angeles area.
Both films will air later this year on Playboy TV’s networks around the world and will be available through the newly announced Instant Access video-on-demand service offered by the networks in North America.
