(LOS ANGELES, CA) — Jill Kelly Productions announced today that Randy Spears, widely accepted as one of the finest actors and performers in the sex genre, has been signed to the company as their first ever contracted male talent.
The fifteen year porn veteran’s contract with the company states that he will work consistently under the JKP spotlight as a non-exclusive performer, as well as behind the camera as an exclusive director, helming a minimum of one feature per month and starring in at least a third of those ventures. The contract is currently for a year, with the option to renew.
"For well over a decade now, Randy Spears has been making a name for himself as one of the most reliable performers on the adult video scene," says company President/COO Jill Kelly. "We recognize that his talent doesn’t end as an actor. He is an incredibly gifted director and we are proud to be the exclusive outlet for this extraordinary man’s many visions. Spears claims many factors went into his choosing Jill Kelly Productions over other offers he had entertained. "First and foremost, JKP is only a year old. The company is fresh and has a lot of potential, so I felt it in my best interest to be a part of the team that was up and coming. I saw this as being a ground floor opportunity," he explains. "JKP has afforded me the chance to flex my creative muscles, where other companies would have stifled me. In making this decision, I know that I’m going to be able to bring fifteen years worth of ideas to them and I’m surrounded by people who believe in me. I’ve also researched all of the product they’ve turned out and have found that we think a lot alike. Plus, Jill has been a friend of years, and ultimately the company made me an incredible offer monetary wise."
As a director, Spears has many goals cited for his teaming with Jill Kelly Productions. "I hope to bring a real steady feature base to the company," he says. "The product I’m going to be making will be largely marketed towards cable outlets. More than that though, I really believe in my heart that I can take the JKP contract girls and help them reach their plateaus. Obviously, their beauty stands on its own, so what I’m interested in is bringing them to the next level as both sex performers and actresses. Some of the best directors in our industry, from John Leslie to Paul Thomas, started as actors. That brilliance comes from years in the trenches, piling up what you’ve learned and then incorporating it into your own work of art."

Spears’ romance epic, a vehicle for JKP exclusive Star E. Knight, "April in January," marks his directorial debut for the company and is slated for a March 27th release. The actor/director’s first movie under contract for the company, "Pandora," will also see Knight as the lead, and will be shot in Los Angeles on March 4th and 5th.
