(WASHINGTON, DC) — Three months after the United States was scandalized by Janet Jackson’s bared breast, US newspapers carried censured photos of Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry’s daughter wearing a revealing dress in Cannes, France.
Alexandra Kerry, a 30-year-old filmmaker and actress, on Sunday walked on the Cannes Film Festival’s red carpet for the premiere of Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill 2” wearing a black dress revealing her right shoulder.
But photographers with powerful flashes ended up capturing more: Her bra-less chest.
The Washington Post’s gossip column published the photo with a black bar covering her breasts, but the newspaper dutifully noted that such extravagance is “no big deal on the French Riviera.”
The New York Post published the photo on Monday with the headline “Kerry’s Daughter is in Top Form.”
The Boston Herald on Tuesday showed her from the neck up.
