(LOS ANGELES, CA) — Classic adult film The Defiance of Good at New Beverly at Midnight on Saturday
Join us at the New Beverly Cinema at midnight Tomorrow (Saturday, March 14th) as we once again turn back the clock to the days when XXX adult films were actually shown in theaters! We’ve put together an amazing program with two features by director Armand Weston, along with a selection of vintage loops, trailers and assorted weirdness.
We start off with a very rare print of the Defiance of Good (1974), one of the all-time classics from the ”golden age” of adult cinema, which stars beautiful Jean Jennings in her first adult film along with Fred Lincoln (the Last House On the Left), Sonny Landham (Predator), Alex Mann (Malibu High) and Jamie Gillis.
Following this will be Weston’s Expose Me, Lovely from 1976. This will be another incredible flashback to the golden age of adult cinema, as we grind out almost three hours of 35mm smut. We’ll also have some special guests from the ”golden age” of adult cinema in attendance, including Fred Lincoln from the Defiance of Good.
If we continue to draw an audience this will be a regular midnight series presenting rare 35mm prints of classic 1970’s XXX films. We’ve shown biker films, women in prison films, kung fu, Italian zombies, gore classics… And now we present the missing piece of the classic 42nd Street film experience. Here’s your chance to see golden-age adult films projected on the big screen as they were meant to be seen, surrounded by other fans and freaks.
Since the rise of home-video and the internet the viewing of adult films has largely become a lonely solo pursuit, but there was a time when it was a social experience shared with others (which, we admit, could occasionally be somewhat bizarre and brain- damaging). We think it’s time to bring porn out of the privacy of the home and back into theaters where it belongs. So shut down your PC, unplug that DVD player, and come out to the New Beverly on Saturday for the full vintage porn experience!
Bring a date, bring yo’ MA, bring a dirty old man… fun for all! Happy endings not guaranteed, but always a possibility.
