(NEW YORK, NY) — Candida Royalle, famous for her internationally-acclaimed Femme line of erotica from a woman’s point of view, will once again cross the line between adult and mainstream. Royalle will join in a panel discussion of contemporary women’s issues with some of today’s sharpest women at the famed 92nd Street Y in New York City.
Royalle will join Nancy Friday, the author of many books on women’s issues; Candace Bushnell, author of Sex and the City (which inspired the popular HBO series); Faye Wattleton, president of the Center for Gender Equality and former president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America; and Nicole Beland, the “Girl Next Door” columnist for Men’s Health magazine and author of Ask the Girl Next Door. Norman Pearlstine, editor in chief of Time magazine, will moderate the discussion.
Candida Royalle’s career is legendary; first a performer (in the ’70’s), and now a celebrated director of adult erotica, she continues to set the standard for the adult industry with her female-friendly videos.
Also in the works, Royalle’s first book, How to Tell a Naked Man What to Do, will be released in 2004 by Simon & Schuster. It will serve as a blueprint for couples wanting to create sexy scenarios in their own lives.
Her bold style and innovative approach continue to fascinate Royalle’s fans and keep the critics at bay; she sets the rules as she goes, making her an icon in both the adult and mainstream markets.
