(LOS ANGELES, CA) — There were porn stars, writers, toy manufacturers, television folk, and just about everyone in between on hand to celebrate last night’s grand opening party for Kim Airs’ second branch of Grand Opening!, L.A.’s new and exclusive sex positive store located in the heart of West Hollywood!
“It was kind of like a ‘This is Your Life in Los Angeles Kim Airs,'” Airs says. “Most of the people that attended were aware of my dream of opening a store in L.a. For the last five years, and all of them were there last night to see it become a reality. I couldn’t be happier.”
Guests from far and wide gathered at the store from 8pm on to partake in the open bar, a healthy spread of food and – of course – to fondle and admire the vast array of toys that made up the dildo wall. Naturally, no sex store party would be complete without the addition of a chair with a 37-inch penis sculpted out of eucalyptus sprouting out of the seat, and guests lined up to have their picture taken with the large, fresh-smelling phallus to “make their dreams come true,” as the sign attached to the seat promised. AIM Healthcare was also on hand offering complimentary STD tests to guests in attendance, which will be a regular offering at the store.
Guests and media in attendance included Time Magazine, Self Magazine, British GQ, L.A. Times, AVN, Los Angeles Magazine, E!, Esquire, L.A. Weekly, sex writers Lisa Palac and Carol Queen, multi-published author Anka Radakovitch, author Inga Muscio, performer and director Mark Davis, AIM Healthcare’s Sharon Mitchell, performer Dave Cummings, Hustler’s Theresa Flynt and performer Kylie Ireland, just to name a few.
Says Airs, “It was a wonderful and eclectic mix, and many people commented on the fact that there was excellent mingling and networking going on throughout the evening. And that’s what Grand Opening! Is all about – connecting people with pleasure.”
