(HOLLYWOOD, CA) — When X-Play and Hustler Video release Not Three’s Company XXX on DVD March 3rd, 2009 they can only speculate as to what the late great John Ritter would have thought about the porn spoof of the beloved Three’s Company television show.
”I really think he would have loved it,” stated X-Play president Jeff Mullen who was a huge fan of the TV show growing up. ”The Jack Tripper character was the kind of guy that everybody wanted to be friends with and from what I’ve heard, John Ritter was every bit as cool as Tripper plus he loved music.”
In fact music was the final element to be completed before the production was complete on not Three’s Company XXX and www.sitcums.com co-producer Scott David knew this was an area they needed to take enough time to get it right. ”Jeff (Mullen) writes and produces all of our music and takes the process incredibly seriously and spends a lot of time in the studio capturing the essence of the original style and then writes his own music for each of our sex comedies,” David said. ”Plus with the entire John Ritter musical legacy with his dad, I really think it was even more important for Jeff to nail this one perfectly.”
David was referring to the fact that Ritter’s father was the legendary country musician Tex Ritter who was among the first artists to sign with Capital Records which is symbolically located mere feet from the X-Play offices at Hollywood & Vine.
”People might not understand why the little details are so important in a porno but we treated this production with the respect it deserves and wanted to make it as funny as possible plus you really can’t do a great job of parody unless you get every detail right and music is an important detail for sure,” Mullen offered. ”I hope Suzanne Somers doesn’t get mad when she hears about it because she might crush me with a thigh master.”

”We came about as close as we could with the music on this one without getting ourselves arrested,” Mullen joked noting that they get a kick out of the general public’s perception of what typical porn music might sound like. ”There’s no chicka chicka bow wow with our stuff,” he said laughing. ”Unless we decide to produce not Shaft XXX of course.” for those interested in exactly how the music was created, one of the five behind the scenes sections on the DVD takes a look at the making of the music soundtrack.
The movie’s synopsis reads like an episode from the TV show: When Jack loses his restaurant job the gang can’t afford rent so Chrissy picks up a night job leading Janet, Jack & the Ropers to think she’s become a hooker. Crazy, hilarious & dirty situations result in non-stop sex as gorgeous boobs and booty abound in this hardcore spoof of the classic ‘70s TV show.
”It’s too bad that John Ritter had to die at such a young age. He was a great man and I would have loved to hear what he had to say about our movie on a TV show like Entertainment Tonight or the Insider,” Mullen concluded.
Not Three’s Company XXX stars Brynn Tyler as Chrissy, Penny Flame as Janet and Van Damage as Jack. The movie also features Nina Hartley as Mrs. Roper, Dino Bravo as Mr. Roper, Sienna West as Lana, Tommy Gunn as Larry, Jenny Hendrix as the prostitute, Madison Scott as Chrissy’s little sister, Scott Lyons as Mr. Furley plus Allyssa Hall, Roxy Jezel, Cynthia Van Damage, James Bartholet, Eric Swiss, and Ron Jeremy as Jim the Bartender. The movie was directed by the XBIZ 2009 Director of the Year will Ryder.
