(Hallandale, FL) — Adult Stars Magazine publisher Stacy Cartwright and company Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey G. Cartwright announced today that the recently vacated position of editor for the monthly on-line magazine has been filled. Assuming the position will be Don Benn, current editor of the daily Porno News Network (part of the Adult Stars Magazine entertainment group). Porno News Network is currently a finalist for a KSEX Radio "Listener’s Choice Award".
Both Cartwright’s stated that Benn, the co-host and executive producer of the adult talk show "The SeXfiles.TV" "Was on a short-list of potential candidates for the job". Publisher Stacy Cartwright stated, "As a result of Benn’s positive relationship with most adult performers – a direct result of his five years of co-hosting duties – he seemed like the natural choice". Ceo Jeffrey G. Cartwright added, "He’s one of those rare individuals whose natural gift of gab translates to the written word as well".
Benn, whose new duties will begin with the December issue of the magazine, stated that his plans for the magazine’s future would be "simply to build on the solid foundation created by the previous editor". Benn praised former editor Steve Seidman for what he considered to be Seidman’s two major accomplishments: (a) making the magazine a "fan-friendly" publication and (b) taking advantage of web technology through the introduction videotaped interviews to compliment the written word.
"It’s my intent", said Benn, "to expand the magazine and include new writers, new features, and hopefully broaden the magazine’s scope to include all area’s (mainstream and so-called "alternative) of interest to the adult reader. I intend to better utilize the existing Asm office staff, examine and reevaluate the popularity of existing columns and columnists, and, where necessary, make needed changes.
Benn, who resides in Philadelphia, does not view his east coast location as a negative. "Between the phone, the internet, and the airport I’m as close to the information, if not the action, as anyone in Los Angeles". He went on to add "However, in order to keep a strong west coast industry presence my first official act will be promoting my "The SeXfiles.TV" co-host, the Oh-so-naughty Nikki Steele to the position of West Coast Division Chief".
When asked if he had any plans to return the on-line magazine to it’s former "hard-copy" print form Benn stated, "It’s certainly not out of the question but it’s way, way down on my list of priorities".
"The bottom line", he stated, "Will be to continue to produce a fan-friendly and industry respected product that we can all be proud of. Of course", he added, "my main goal to make it fun – for both the reader and myself. Because, if you are not having fun in this business – it’s time to leave".
