(LOS ANGELES, CA) — The people polled leaving the 6 hour adult fan fair now known as Adultcon said, "It’s packed!", "It’s like a ‘K-Mart Glamourcon’!", "It reminded me of the 405 [freeway]!", "Like Glamourcon with less Playboy Bunnies and more porn girls!" Playboy’s Sexcetera was filming for what promoter Renaud West said will be "for a special".
Adultcon II, which was sponsored by The Olympic Garden Topless Cabaret in Las Vegas, and hosted by KSEXradio and Xcitement Magazine took place on Sunday, April 28, 2002 from 2pm-8pm at the Radisson hotel, 6225 W. Century Blvd. near the L. A. airport. Bragging of 40 adult businesses exhibiting, 50 Adult stars, Pets, and Playmates, Adultcon was worth the $20 at the door to see Adult Superstar Ginger Lynn at the first booth, even though most of the names advertised as confirmed attendees were not seen.
Nicole Moore was interviewing adult personalities for The Liberty Network with Steve Banan of Banan’s World PR. Geoff Mena of TheIndustryVoice.com said "The turn out was much bigger than I expected" and reported he and Nicole of NakedNicole.com ran out of promotional material and broke even money wise. The Spearmint Rhino had a small stage at the back where it became impossible to move from all the fans with still and movie cameras. Other girls were doing lap dances here and there. Alana Evans and Holly Hollywood were having fun with fans taking pictures while doing "bed laps" (lap dances on a bed).
Basically the show was wonderfully wide open but under control. There was hardcore porn on the TV monitors set up to advertise videos and a healthy amount of flashing was going on. Some of the vendors questioned complained that most of the fans were there taking their own pictures and not buying anything and Taylor Wayne actually caught people stealing her videos. (That proves your videos are HOT STUFF, Taylor!) Starlet of the Year Violet Blue said it was great seeing everyone there as there were people dropping in who were not advertised as attending.
Adultcon promoter Renaud West has stated that because of the problem concerning talent being confirmed as booked, for future events no talent will be confirmed at [the next] Adultcon unless there is a signed agreement.
