Coming April 20, 2002 is a revival of the glamour and dazzle of burlesque cabaret the likes of which Los Angeles has never seen! Brought to you by Kitty Diggins Presents, the production company of renowned burlesque performer Kitty Diggins, and Pink Pussycat Productions, company of writer, performer and fundraiser Erin Pray, this is a must-see, gala event. All proceeds will go the Exotic World Burlesque Museum in Helendale, Calif., which houses the world’s only comprehensive collection of burlesque artifacts. Exotic World is in need of serious restoration before America loses this piece of its history forever.
We are proud to introduce the Kit Kat Follies, a night of exotic entertainment and a benefit for the Exotic World Burlesque Museum. This live extravaganza will take place at the historic Downtown Palace Theatre located at 630 South Broadway in Los Angeles. Headlining this once in a lifetime event will be the world famous Dita Von Teese and her lovely, oft-partner Miss Catherine D’lish. Dita is the ultimate retro pinup girl who has appeared in Playboy over 30 times and is a favorite Olivia model. Miss D’lish is a classic burlesque performer nationwide, an inductee to the Burlesque Hall of Fame, Showgirl of the Year, and the subject of countless documentaries. The billing for the evening also includes, the shimmy shakin’ Kitten Deville of the Velvet Hammer, the show-stopping Cantankerous Lollies, performance artist Kari French, Kina Kuchina, Rube Ruben, musical cabaret artist extraordinaire Kitten On the Keys, San Francisco’s Famous Burlesque Orchestra, sword swallowers and master of ceremonies, the amazing Molotov and his talented partner, Felicity, the acrobatic Ebba Rosenblatt, Miss Exotic World 2001 Cherry Malone, the talented Miss Kitty Diggins, the World Famous Pontani Sisters, the stylings of Dj Senor Amor and more than a few surprises! There will also be a special appearance by the incomparable Miss Dixie Evans, the Marilyn Monroe of Burlesque and curator of the Exotic World Burlesque Museum.
The show begins at 10 p.m. With doors opening to the public at 8:30PM to enjoy the Downtown Palace Theatre’s bar and the following vendors who will have tables in the lobby; Teaseorama, Twirlygirl, Exoticdancer College, Pinup Girl Clothing and others.
Tickets are $18 in advance and $25 at the door. The cast and crew of this benefit have donated their time, energy, and talents to this worthy cause and all proceeds will be donated to the nonprofit Exotic World Museum.
