(LOS ANGELES) — The last outfit you’d expect multi-award winning Wicked Girl and animal rights activist Serenity to wear is leather rocker gear, but that’s exactly what she sported during a high-profile mainstream fashion shoot earlier this year – well, sort of.

Her skintight threads were actually made of synthetic leather, or “pleather,” and the shoot was part of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ latest campaign for the cruelty-free set: “Fake, for the Animals’ Sake.” Serenity’s sexy shots are scheduled to appear later this month at www.pleatheryourself.com (as well as www.Peta-online.org) where she’ll be sharing cyber-space with such current PETA spokesmodels as Pamela Anderson and Alicia Silverstone.

As a result of her provocative work for the organization, the Wicked Girl has been invited to appear as a special guest at PETA’s 21st Anniversary & Humanitarian Awards Party September 8th at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.

Hosted by Alec Baldwin and Pamela Anderson, this prestigious event will find Serenity joining such heavy hitters from the mainstream as Paul McCartney, who’ll be receiving a special humanitarian award during the evening. PETA Celebrity Liaison Claudia Tarry is eagerly promoting the Wicked Girl’s involvement in the show, stating, “we are excited to have Serenity in our campaign, and very pleased that she’ll be joining us at the awards party this weekend!”

Serenity’s PETA photo shoot was coordinated and shot by mainstream Hollywood photographer Robert Sebree, whose other current clients include Alicia Silverstone, Britney Spears, Bruce Willis, Cameron Diaz, and Eric Clapton. Cutting-edge clothing manufacturer Lip Service supplied the Wicked Girl’s stylish heavy metal-inspired gear for the project.

Serenity’s metal chic photos have made her a “leader of the pack” in new Hollywood, where hipsters like Drew Barrymore, Joaquin Phoenix, and Fiona Apple shun not only fur, but also all animal skins. Be sure to catch the versatile Wicked Girl in her new release Jack & Jill, directed by Brad Armstrong.
