(RIO DE JANEIRO) — At 94, there are few things that raunchy Brazilian (news – web sites) comedian Dercy Goncalves hasn’t done, but Penthouse managed to find one.
The aging actress is going to pose nude for the first time for the September issue of the Brazilian edition of the adult entertainment magazine.
“It’s not like I’m going to open my legs and embarrass my family,” the famously brash Goncalves told Reuters on Friday. ”It’s going to be very artistic, the kind of thing you would put on your coffee table.”
Penthouse and Goncalves are still working out the details and the price of the shoot, but the photos are expected to run along with an article on how the elderly are poorly treated.
“There’s no one better than Dercy Goncalves, the symbol of freedom of expression, to talk about the hypocrisy of our attitude toward the elderly,” said Penthouse Brazil director Oscar Maroni.
“Penthouse isn’t just sex, it’s also about politics and protest,” Maroni said.
Goncalves, who says she has lost count of the number of plastic surgeries she has undergone, launched her theater career in 1929. She jumped to fame as a slapstick comedian with her own television program in the 1960s.
Goncalves has not lost her sense of scandal with age. Earlier this year she appeared topless in the Carnival parades in Rio and last year she posed in a racy red bra and underwear for a lingerie ad.
“I’m surprised I’ve never been asked to pose before,” said Goncalves, wearing a translucent leopard print blouse and abundant makeup. “But I’m still in good shape and will bare what it’s still possible to bare.”
