(VAN NUYS, CA) — Digital Playground is pleased to have received 6 nominations from the X-Rated Critics Organization for its 2007 “Industry Only” award show.
Contract director, Robby D. Is responsible for 4 of the 6 nods, including ‘Best Director – Non Feature.’ Robby is the only director to receive two nods in the ‘Best Gonzo Series’ category, one for Control and the second for Jack’s Teen America. Jack’s POV 5 was also named a contender for “Best POV.” DP’s contract superstar Jesse Jane received a nomination for “Mainstream Adult Media Favorite,” her second year in a row to be named in this category and Joone’s Island Fever 4 earned a nomination for ‘Best Epic’.

XRCO was founded in 1984 to give writers and editors from the adult entertainment industry a voice in the selection of the years’ best productions. The purpose was to award works of excellence, recognizing specifically the unique qualities of sexually explicit films. The 24th annual XRCO Awards Show is the result of nominations and votes from accredited adult release critics, all members of the X-rated Critics Organization based in the United States and overseas. Members of XRCO consider approximately 13,000 new releases for inclusion in 26 categories. The results of the XRCO are derived strictly from nominations and unique votes. There are no outside forces or factors involved in the selections, and the process is pure and pristine in intent and only reflects the true votes by the critics.
Since joining Digital Playground in 2002, Robby D., has earned over 40 awards for the company, including ‘2006 Best Director’ from 3 independent sources: Rog Reviews, DVD Talk and Orgazmik. These coos are in addition to numerous accolades for projects helmed by directors Joone and Celeste, which Robby assisted on. Robby currently directs the following series for Digital Playground: Jack’s Playground, Jack’s Teen America, Jack’s POV, Jack’s Big Tit Show, Jack’s Big Ass Show, Jack’s Leg Show, Jack’s MILF Show, Deeper, Throb POV, Hard Candy, Control and Ass Addiction.
