Nikki Phoenix cast in upcoming Cult Classic Horror Movie Sequel – The multi award nominated EDM artist, Aerialist, mainstream and adult actress and model is cast in “Ice Cream Man 2”
(LAS VEGAS, NV) — Following the release of her EDM Album, “Ballroom Zombies,” and her Fitness and health book “Fit as Phoenix,” Phoenix celebrates her casting in the Cult Classic horror film sequel: “Ice Cream Man 2”.
“I was so happy to get this opportunity,” Said Phoenix, “I love horror as a genre, and I knew this would be a fun project to be involved with. After being chased by a bull in the last mainstream movie I did, “21 and Over,” this was the logical next step, I mean how often do you get a chance to be killed by the Ice Cream Man in the sequel to the cult classic that I watched growing up.”
The movie, stars the original Ice Cream Man, MTV Lifetime Award-winning actor Clint Howard and will be produced by Paul Norman Productions. Fans of the classic horror film can be part of the next generation of creepy fun by joining the Kickstarter campaign to get “Ice Cream Man 2: Sundae Bloody Sundae” out of the freezer and into theaters.
It’s been twenty years since “Ice Cream Man” -an iconic spectacle of gore, blood, and mayhem-exploded onto the big screen. Audiences couldn’t get enough of Howard’s mental-patient-turned-sweet-treat-scooper Gregory, who laced his frozen creations with bugs and choice bits of corpses and served them up to unsuspecting, Converse-wearing kids out for summer fun. Since its release, the original “Ice Cream Man” has become a classic in the Bad Movie canon, cheerfully terrorizing two decades of viewers with low-budget action, cheesy dialogue, and some of the most creative uses of severed heads ever seen on screen.
Independent filmmakers Howard and producer Norman Apstein have turned to Kickstarter to finance “Ice Cream Man 2: Sundae Bloody Sundae.” Kickstarter is a global crowdfunding community that helps bring creative projects to life. To date, nearly 6 million Kickstarter donors have pledged more than $1 billion in support of 135,000 projects, which include films, music, stage shows, comics, journalism, video games, and food-related endeavors.
As the original Ice Cream Man’s popularity has skyrocketed among horror film and bad movie aficionados, star Howard and producer Apstein’s sequel takes the story beyond the kid’s movie genre and ratchets up the horror quotient- notch by blood-soaked notch. “Ice Cream Man 2: Sundae Bloody Sundae” won’t be a movie for children-it’s a tale of revenge, chock-full of murderous intent, laced with dripping entrails, and served up ice cold. The Rocketeers -Johnny, Heather, Tuna, and Small Paul-are all grown up now, and Gregory wants them to suffer. Really suffer. Torture and violence are on the menu, and it’s going to be sweet.

With a career spanning 6 decades and more than 100 film and television credits, Clint Howard is easily one of the most recognizable character actors of his generation. His childhood roles in “Gentle Ben” and “Star Trek” led to memorable turns in movies such as “Apollo 13” and “The Waterboy.” Howard will be co-producing the film along with Apstein.
Longtime filmmaker Norman Apstein, co-producer for “Ice Cream Man 2: Sundae Bloody Sundae,” started his career after earning a degree in film from San Francisco State University in 1979. He appeared briefly in “Ice Cream Man” as a hanging corpse. Apstein has produced many films, including “Ice Cream Man,” which have brought in more than a total of $100 million.

Also signed to the production is award winning and Hall of Fame Director/Photographer Miles Long®, who not only shot the poster and the interviews for the movie and Kickstarter campaign, but will also be the Director of Photography for the movie.
“I’m really enjoying being able to spend my time shooting both mainstream and adult.” Says Long. “I’ve always been a huge horror fan, and I love the challenge of tackling new projects and sharing ideas with folks while making movies, it makes me feel incredibly creative. It’s also great to have the opportunity to show production people outside of adult that there are really talented people who love to make films and shoot photos, and while the content might be different, they approach their craft with the same level of professionalism and quality that folks in mainstream are used to, so we fit right in when we choose to work there.”
It has been a busy month for Phoenix, who not only just released her album on all digital formats including iTunes and Amazon but also sent her book to publishing as well. The Album entitled “Ballroom Zombies,” features a special appearance by friend and well known adult star Britney Amber in the music video being shot for the song. The book, “Fit as Phoenix” includes well over 100 easy to make recipes for healthy alternative breakfasts, lunches, dinners, salads, deserts, snacks and protein shakes, so the reader will never find themselves without options or become bored with any particular meal. In addition the book covers eating out tips, as well as alternative foods that might be new to most readers. It also chronicles Phoenix’s journey, including some of the highs and lows as well as some of the problems she faced as she transformed herself from the person she was to the person she is today.
The Phoenix is on the rise! The XBIZ and XRCO nominated actress lands yet another mainstream role, this time in the Cult Classic horror sequel “Ice Cream Man 2,” and releases her Book “Fit as Phoenix” and her Album “Ballroom Zombies” across all digital media platforms as she continues on her growing EDM career!
