Don’t miss our Jess Franco tribute at the New Beverly Cinema on Tuesday, May 7, featuring screenings of rare 35mm prints of his films Succubus (1968) and The Demons {aka The Sex Demons} (1973).
Franco directed over 200 films of wildly varying quality, leaving us with a labyrinthine maze of work to dissect and digest, but these are two of his better early films and should not be missed on the big screen. It’s been decades since both of these films screened theatrically in Los Angeles, so don’t pass up this very rare opportunity to see them as they were meant to be screened – from 35mm in a theater full of other maniacs and weirdos!
The event starts at 7:30pm, and admission for the double-feature, raffle and reel of rare exploitation trailers is still only $8.00. You won’t find a bigger bang for your entertainment dollar during this economic meltdown!
