(Perth, WA / June 29, 2022) — Australian OnlyFans model Lucy Banks knows that people have assumptions about her high-flying career, which is understandable when a regular Perth mum is making thousands of dollars a month as an online sex symbol. But people’s assumptions, says Banks, are most likely WRONG.
“People are perpetually fascinated by the double lives that women lead as sexual creatures and family-centered, doting mothers – that’s a tale as old as time,” says Banks. “But this normal-person-doing -OnlyFans thing is something new, and many folks have a hard time wrapping their heads around it. The frigid taboo of sex work is quickly thawing, as millions of people now do it online, and many of them are parents who want to prioritize time with their children.”
She explains that she schedules her days according to two mindsets – ‘Mum mode’ and ‘OnlyFans mode’ – and sticks diligently to her timetables: “I’m up between 5-6 am each day – I’m a morning person! Make breakfast for my children, pack their lunches and make sure uniforms are ironed and ready for school. It takes me 1.5 hours to do the morning school run.
“After that, I’ll come home and log into OnlyFans. I spend the next five hours chatting, sending videos and making new content. Even though I’m at home, I never do house chores during those hours. I’m in ‘OnlyFans mode’.
“Every day is different with the subscribers… sometimes I’m sexting and sending videos of what I’m doing to myself, or I’m having deep conversations about life. If it’s quiet, I’ll spend the day doing admin work and sorting out old videos, or I’ll spend five hours filming, and sometimes I don’t film at all. It just depends on who’s online and what they want to see that day.”
Banks then switches gears into domesticity after her first shift of the day is finished: “I never work when I’m in ‘Mum mode;’ I’m back at school for pickup, which takes another 1.5 hours – along with sports, play dates, and appointments. After the kids are in bed, I’ll go online for another 5 hours or so. Most nights, I don’t go to sleep until 11-12 pm. The night times are always busier, so it’s important that I’m online then.”
“I think there are a lot of false narratives about OnlyFans creators being really sexual and living these wild lives… which is definitely true on some days! But for the most part, I’m just like any other mum who works from home… just a bit naughtier!
“The truth of the matter is, I love my job, and I love my kids to the point that I want to make them my Number One priority. I started working in this industry so I can do my job around my kids, not raise my kids around my job.”

ABOUT LUCY BANKS:
Lucy Banks, a rising independent content creator based in Perth, Australia, never saw herself as an online entertainer catering to the deepest desires of strangers, but in 2019, after years of a day-in, day-out existence in an unfulfilling marriage and middling job in the banking industry, she decided to ditch both and take the unusual step of signing up as a model on OnlyFans.
Less than three years later, the brunette beauty with an infectious smile and adventurous spirit has achieved staggering success on the adult social platform; she currently boasts more than 3,700 subscribers and earnings of up to $2,500 per day, thanks to her tireless work ethic and motivation to provide a more comfortable life for her and her two young children.
“The pandemic ushered in a virtual world that more of us are living in every day, whether out of necessity, entertainment, or the thrill of meeting new people and creating an exciting online experience. For me, it’s about freedom: having the time to be there for my family and being able to buy a home, necessities and fun stuff for my kids without worrying about how much money is in the bank. There are pros and cons to every career, but at this point in my life, this is what’s most important to me… and I’m loving every minute of it!”
