(LOS ANGELES, CA) — Las Vegas-based Red Cardinal Films, LLC has wrapped their first feature film, “Betrothed,” starring horror veteran Bill Oberst, Jr. (Criminal Minds, Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies) , Omar Gooding (Family Time), Trae Ireland (Wedding Ringer), Mikayla Gibson as Audra West, Reatha Grey (Off the Rockers) and more.
“It was a blast working with our director Jim Lane and executive producer Greg Munsell,” said Gibson who is the lead as Audra West. “Jeff Rosenberg wrote a script that felt like it was created for me. I loved the Audra character who was strong willed and determined to survive the ordeal.”
Red carpet arrivals begin at 7 p.m. Media check-in at 6:30 p.m. Program begins at 8:30 p.m. The trailer will be screened at 10 and 11:30 p.m. Live entertainment is provided by Actress/Singer/Songwriter Jillisa Lynn (Sunny and RayRay) performing her single “Outta Here.” the single was produced by Chris C-Ballin Jackson who has collaborated with Baby Bash, E-40, Marty James, Rock City and numerous others.
Gibson stars as in the 90 minute horror-thriller as college student Audra West who crosses paths with two psychotic brothers (Jamie Cline and Adam Dunnells). Audra finds herself trapped in the middle of the desert held captive by an insane, dysfunctional family, and betrothed to one of the brothers. As Detective Rob Gordon (Trae Ireland) unravels Audra’s mysterious disappearance, she makes a desperate attempt to flee. Will Detective Gordon reach her in time, or is Audra destined to spend happy “never” after with the Coopers?
Betrothed is directed by Jim Lane from a screenplay Jeff D. Rosenberg. Founder Greg Munsell, Carole Vesely, and Marie Lemelle of Red Cardinal Films, LLC are producing. Munsell is executive producer.
