Myles’ Weekend Adventures: Exotic Dancer Invitationals West, Porn Star Karaoke – Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. This article will be about a contest filled with some of the greatest feature dancers around today competing against each other. It will then end with some not so great singing and some very interesting adult entertainment industry personalities. Is anybody now curious? Good! Then please read on.
Exotic Dancer Invitationals West
Saturday evening, April 12, I went to Dames n’ Games, a fairly new Spearmint Rhino Corporation club, to observe the Exotic Dancer Invitationals West finals. (I would like to have attended all three nights of the event, but under the circumstances, I would have had to pay a cover charge all three nights. I felt that I shouldn’t spend that much money at the time, so I decided to just attend the finals.)
Some of the people I saw during the evening were: Tony Batman who hosted the event, Mary Carey, Jaded Dawn, Tali De’Mar who has decided to come back out of retirement, Andy Enomoto (Private Dancer Magazine), Rich Hanson (Rich has a new magazine coming out soon), Cheyenne Jewel, Remy Lacroix, Lexi Lamour, Shay Lynn, Artemus Moon, industry photographer Gordon Mui, and Justice Vancouver.
I also spotted two members of the rock band Steel Panther in the club. Steel Panther was there as guest judges.
I additionally spotted Big Mike who headed up Exotic Dancer Publications security at the event.
After the contest had ended, I attempted to make my way over to say hello to Big Mike but somehow missed him. How he disappeared so fast as huge a man as he is I have no idea.
In regard to the winners of other awards: Hottest Body went to Angela Sommers, Best Costume was won by Jaded Dawn, Tali De’Mar won best dancer, Phoenix Phires captured the Best Original Show Award, the Audience Favorite Award went to Christina Aguchi, and the Best Overall Show Award was won by Justice Vancouver.
The Newcomers Division (No more than two years experience as a feature performer) winners were: second runner-up was Remy LA Croix, first runner-up was Phoenix Phires, and the first place winner was Angela Sommers.
The Showgirls Division (Over two years experience as a feature performer) winners were: second runner-up was Justice Vancouver, first runner-up was Christina Aguchi, and the first place winner was Tali De’Mar.
After all of the awards had been announced, the event ended with a guest performance by Artemus Moon and a great performance it was!
All of the ladies who performed shows during the evening gave great performances.
After the event had ended, and I was standing outside speaking with a few people I knew, I got the opportunity to finally meet Cali Rose. I had been hearing a lot of good things about Cali, and I had been seeing things about her all over the Internet, but until that evening, I had not had the good fortune to meet her in person. (I like her already!)
The event proved to be extremely entertaining. So much so, I now wish that I had been able to attend all three evenings! But then, it has been my experience that any event put together by Exotic Dancer Publications will be an excellent happening!
Pornstar Karaoke Club
Tuesday, April 22, I went to Pornstar Karaoke Club at Sardo’s Grill and Lounge in Burbank for a couple of hours just to get out of the house, kill some time, and to see who might show up.
Nicki Hunter was there doing a fine job of hosting the event that evening.
The people also in attendance that I knew and recognized were: Tod Hunter, Ron Jeremy, Tessa Lane, Connie Le, Nadia Night, Lucky Starr, Mika Tan, and Adam Wood.
It was great to see Mika Tan there. It had been way too long since I had been able to speak with Mika in person and to get a few of her great hugs!
As always, a good time was had by all there in Sardo’s!
