My sudden arrival to the San Fernando Valley took place in 2001 while dating Brian Surewood. Brian convinced me to move from San Diego to Canoga Park as a live-in girlfriend and to work several jobs in adult film as his partner. I would also help with cooking and the cleaning of the apartment. It was agreed that he was to be the only partner with polyamorous status, in other words, I was to have eyes only for him. This partnership was relatively successful until 2004 when I met my fiancé to be Thomas.

Tom was a county attorney living in Burbank who immediately took interest in solving my problems at every level. He attended doctor’s appointments with me, took me clothes shopping and paid for my yoga classes. He also provided me his spare bedroom free of charge from 2004 until 2007 along with a stipend of two-thousand dollars a month for cleaning the condo and some girl-Friday duties.

Needless to say, having someone so loving and caring catalyzed rapid and transformative changes at the core level of my own self-worth and self-esteem. These had been damaged over a period of three years from Brian’s one-way polyamorous lifestyle. One manifestation of these changes was that I began working on my projection towards others in the arenas of speech, dance and conversation. Somewhat later I included acting lessons, books in Shamanism and classes in Magick.
