Machine Gun Kelly says, “Our planet is a combination of Earth, wind, and fire. My mind is a combination of boobs, ass, and vagina. Thank you, thank you… I’ll be at the AVN Awards all night.”

The first rapper in history to win the Apollo Theater’s iconic talent show in 2009, Machine Gun Kelly has quickly shot up the ranks as a rapper to be contended with. Earning Best Midwest Artist at the 2010 Underground Music Awards and Best Music Video at the 2010 Ohio Hip-Hop Awards before he was even 19, the 2010 release of his “Lace Up” mix tape and overwhelming fan and critical acclaim won him a deal with Diddy’s Bad Boy / Interscope record label. In October of the following year, his “Rage Pack” mix tape and accompanying “Wild Boy” single won Machine Gun Kelly MTV’s Hottest Breakthrough Mc award for 2011.

Penning rapid-fire rhymes about everything from addiction to family issues, the punk / rock / rap-inspired Machine Gun Kelly is a symbol of relentless perseverance and has a die-hard fan base. The young Mc’s catchphrase, “Lace Up,” is a call to arms, with many fans baring “Lace Up” tattoos across the globe. Machine Gun Kelly is currently in the midst of an international tour promoting his second album, “Black Flag,” which was released on June 26, 2013, physical copies of the album are given away at his concerts in limited quantities.

The AVN Awards historically has supported the hip-hop industry, as some of the genre’s biggest names have performed at the show, including Tyga, Flo Rida, Chingy, Lil’ Jon, Baby Bash, and Too $hort.

“We are extremely excited to have Machine Gun Kelly performing live on stage at the 2014 AVN Awards,” AVN Media Network CEO Theo Sapoutzis said. “The musical act is such an integral part of the show; it sets the tone and helps make the evening all the more memorable and fun.”

Sapoutzis continued, “Machine Gun Kelly is known for his unique rap style and electrifying live performances. We are confident he will deliver a performance people will talk about for years to come.”
