Lingerie Fighting Championships

The most controversial MMA league in the world, the Lingerie Fighting Championships, has signed a deal with WalMart that will see the retail giant carry LFC DVDs and BluRays in more than 4,000 US stores.

“We’re really excited to be working with them,” owner and executive producer Shaun Donnelly says. “They have a great track record with other combat sports programs such as UFC and WWE.”

Lingerie Fighting Championships, which debuted last month on more than 120 cable systems across the country, has attracted a very large following on television and on-line. The league’s PPV numbers caught the eye of WalMart buyers.

“We definitely seem to have captured people’s interest,” Donnelly says, “MMA fans and non-fans alike.”

Donnelly says he was surprised by a recent stat that showed more than 40% of LFC viewers don’t watch any other MMA. “That’s a pretty encouraging thing, we’re hitting non-fans in a way no other league has ever done. Must be the lingerie!”

The first DVD/BluRay will hit WalMart shelves in April and will be titled “Lingerie Fighting Championships: Lace vs Leather”.
