ASACP to Qwebec Expo

(LOS ANGELES, CA) — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is pleased to announce its return participation in the upcoming Qwebec Expo, slated for August 9-11, at the Marriott Chateau Champlain in Montreal.

Qwebec Expo is a trade show and technical conference serving existing and prospective online adult entertainment professionals. This annual event acts as an international crossroads for US, Canadian and European members of the adult industry, who gather to network and learn about the latest technologies, trends, products and services.

The promoters of Qwebec Expo are graciously providing ASACP with banner space and a table offering informational materials, as well as an ad in the event’s show guide.

“Qwebec Expo is honored to support ASACP and RTA again this year by giving them as much exposure as possible,” event organizer Michael Plante stated. “Tim and his team are doing a tremendous job of helping mainstream audiences understand that the legitimate adult industry community has no links to Cp, and is fighting this heinous crime against children.”

Qwebec Expo is growing in popularity and becoming an increasingly important event for ASACP to attend. As such, its Executive Director, Tim Henning, will attend the event as part of the association’s commitment to educate businesses about the need to protect children on the Internet and how ASACP services such as the Restricted to Adults (RTA) website meta-label, Best Practices and a Code of Ethics enable this endeavor.

“The Qwebec Expo attracts a global audience of digital media stakeholders, including those that might avoid American events due to travel restrictions,” Henning stated. “Reaching this critical and diverse audience is vital to the association’s international outreach efforts.”

Henning will play an active role in the event, moderating the “New Bees Workshop,” where “The questions you were too shy to ask” will be answered; as neophyte operators learn how to get started and how to make the most of what they already have.

“Having a voice on the ‘New Bees Workshop’ is valuable to ASACP, as it allows us to reach both new and prospective entrants to the online adult entertainment arena,” Henning explains. “This is a perfect opportunity to deliver our message of corporate and social responsibility to frontline operators, helping to stem potential problems before they begin.”

Henning will have an additional opportunity to present his pitch to Qwebec Expo attendees when he participates as a panelist in the special “Adult Industry Do’s and Don’TS” session that will examine the ethics of porn promotion.

Rather than being seen as a faceless, nameless nanny attempting to dictate terms to an outside industry, ASACP seeks to build bridges of understanding between stakeholders by being a known and trusted entity. Furthering this effort, Henning will join adult entertainment moguls for the 6th Annual Qwebec Masters Golf Tournament at Club de Golf de Montreal, and will also play at the Hockey Night in Qwebec event, sponsored by Crak Revenue and Ce Cash.

“ASACP appreciates the continued generosity of Qwebec Expo and the other adult industry supporters of its mission to keep children out of and away from adult entertainment,” Henning stated. “This financial and other assistance enables the association to carry its message to the businesses and lawmakers that need to hear it.”
