Myles’ Weekend Adventures: Pre-ComicCon Nerd Night in Hollywood
Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. To the best of my knowledge, there was only one thing happening within a reasonable driving distance from my home on this particular weekend. However, the event involved a good number of very funny people and a triple dose of great laughs. Is anybody now curious enough to read on? Good! Then let’s get things rolling without any further ado!
Pre-ComicCon Nerd Night in Hollywood
Saturday night, July 13, I went to the iO West Theater in Hollywood to observe the Pre-ComicCon Nerd Night in Hollywood, hang out with some wonderful people, and have lots of fun and great laughter. (The event consisted of three separate improv comedy shows rolled into the one event.)
Dr. Who Live
Up first was the “Dr. Who Live,” show. The cast of this show consisted of: Stephen Ji, Chris McGowan, Frank Moran, Andrew Pish, Chris Thompson, Daniel Weiss, and Andrew Wolfman.
Drunkards & Dragons
Second to take the stage was the, “Drunkards & Dragons,” show. “Drunkards & Dragons,” was directed by David Colan.
The cast of this show was made up by: Breon Bliss, Leeann St. John, Ryan Marsico, Michael Minto, Patrick Ian Moore, Mike Schramm, Justin Michael Terry, and Collin Turner.
Comic Book Live
Last by certainly not least was a performance by, “Comic Book Live.”
The cast of the show on this pleasant Hollywood Saturday night consisted of: Brandon Barrick as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Tommy Bechtold as Bruce Banner/the Hulk, Markeia McCarty as Storm, Michael McCusker as Captain America, Patrick Ian Moore as Wolverine, and Derek Reid as the Silver Samurai.
The cast members of all three shows did an excellent job of making the audience laugh almost continuously throughout their performances.
Anybody who should be able to go to the iO West Theater to observe any of the shows and hasn’t done so is missing out! After all, the theater is all about improv comedy at its finest.
That will do it for one more time, but before I go, let’s not forget about the Exotic Dancer Gentlemen’s Club Owners Expo coming up August 20 through August 22 at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Expo will consist of interesting and educational seminars, an exotic dancer pageant, a trade show full of adult entertainment industry vendors and lots of beautiful women, and a great awards show.
