(VALENCIA, CA) — Girlfriends Films was recently presented with the top studio honors at the 2013 AVN Awards – Best Overall Marketing Campaign – Company Image. The award was one of five bestowed upon the lesbian film studio, including its sixth consecutive accolade for “Women Seeking Women” as Best All-Girl Series.
“The Company Image award is the most important one to Girlfriends Films,” says Girlfriends Films owner Dan O’Connell. “In everything we do, we try to present the best image to the public. It doesn’t matter whether it concerns only Girlfriends Films, our performers, or the industry as a whole.”

Charities assisted in 2012 include the National Breast Cancer Coalition, American Red Cross, Best Friend Animal Society, and more. Girlfriends Films encourages fans to join in the giving.
Throughout 2012, Dan O’Connell was one of the adult industry’s leading advocates against Measure B, the Los Angeles County mandatory condom law. Additional awards earned by Girlfriends Films at the 2013 AVN Awards include Best Older Woman/Younger Girl release (“Cheer Squad Sleepovers”), Best Solo release (Tammy Sands’ “All Natural: Glamour Solos II”), and Best Specialty Series – Other Genre (“Mother-Daughter Exchange Club”).
