Foxxx Modeling’s Chris Cain Interviewed By Rich Moreland

“I prefer brand new fresh girls that I can help with their careers the best way I can.”

These are the words of Chris Cain, head of Foxxx Modeling, a well-known industry agent whose most famous client is Bree Olson.

I caught up with Chris recently at his Woodland Hills office.

I did know one thing before we talked: The performer/agent relationship is a swirl of opinions. Girls have told me agents don’t pay any attention to them; some have dropped their agent for whatever reason. On the other hand, other girls appear very happy with their representative.

I’ve heard it from their standpoint, now I wanted a view from the other side.

Chris is affable, outgoing, definitely a people person. He’s in the business to make money, no surprise, not only for himself but for his clientele. Unfortunately, a simple idea can be a difficult task especially when working with young women who aren’t always skilled at handling their everyday affairs, much less financial matters.

I can appreciate his dilemma. I spent a number of years as an educator and had more than my share of students who lacked responsibility.

Chris emphasizes that he lays out a plan for his clients, one that maps a road to profitability if they can adhere to a few simple concepts that are straightforward.

First and foremost, a girl must brand her name by stockpiling shoots with a bevy of studios like Hustler, Vivid, and Evil Angel. Before a girl reports to the set, he makes certain she has “all of her information regarding the shoot, including hair, make-up, wardrobe, who the male talent is, how much she’s being paid, what time the scene is,” he says.

Her responsibility is to show up on time and be ready to go. That means being sober, having a clean blood test, and knowing what is expected beforehand.

Simply put its teamwork.

Second, Chris wants a Foxxx Modeling girl to own her domain which means buying her website. He thinks in terms of security. Once the website is controlled and successful shoots are accumulated, step three kicks in: improve the revenue stream.

Once a girl is established and obstacles of her own making are cleared, she is now ready to pick the fruits of her hard work. Avenues to increase her fan base and income are open, such as signing at Vegas’s Adult Entertainment Expo and attending Exxxotica events.

When pressed to single out his agency’s strongest point, Chris is adamant that he is honest and treats a girl fairly.

“I don’t blow smoke,” he says, “I don’t tell every girl that walks through here she’s going to be a superstar.”

At the very least, Chris hopes a Foxxx Modeling girl learns a little about saving what she earns. But that can be daunting. Most girls end up with practically nothing to show for their time in the industry, something I’ve heard repeatedly from industry people.

“No one has ever taught them how to save,” he sighs. Though many of his clients lack a formal education, “They are capable of making large amounts of money” that is often quickly squandered.

To his credit, Chris maintains a positive outlook regardless of a girl’s personal life or her past.

“I don’t see girls as victims. I see them as entrepreneurs,” he declares, but their success is “up to them and it’s their free choice.”

I suggest to Chris that he is a social worker, therapist, manager, and parent figure, all rolled into a single warm body. He agrees and points out that he has rules and expects them to be followed.

For example, if a girl is out late partying, problems arise. “I can’t have some drunk girl coming in at 3:30 in the morning, waking up everybody in the house.”

“If they have a scene the next day,” he adds, “they have to be in by 11 PM and if they can’t live by the rules, then they go to another agent.”

Throughout our talk, I detect some concern and stress in his eyes and now understand why.

Girls with no self-discipline are difficult to deal with he says, with a wisp of exasperation.

“So you manage their lives?” I ask.

“Not their lives, their careers. While they’re here working, I make sure they are responsible.”
