(WASHINGTON DC) — Dee Dennis, founder of the CatalystCon sexuality conference, announces the debut of CatalystCon East in Washington, DC, March 15-17, 2013. September’s inaugural conference, CatalystCon West was a resounding success, and Dennis looks forward to bringing the same magic to the East Coast.

Created to inspire exceptional conversations about sexuality, the first CatalystCon in Long Beach, California featured more than 40 seminars and panel discussions on sexuality-based topics. Described by Dee Dennis as a “melting pot of sexuality,” CatalystCon unites sex educators, sexologists, sex workers, writers, activists, and others with a passion for creating change.

The three-day conference drew attendees from around the US And Canada for sessions, networking opportunities, and entertainment. The guiding principle behind CatalystCon is “Knowledge is power, and sharing that knowledge is the first spark in igniting change.”

Sexual wellness company Aneros® launched its new kegel exerciser, Evi™, at CatalystCon West. Aneros CEO CT Schenk said, “CatalystCon provided the perfect platform for us to launch Evi. The leading minds in sex and health education were all gathered in one place for an amazing three days. Holding CatalystCon on the East Coast as well is a fantastic idea, as it will allow even more people to partake in this amazing conference.”

CatalystCon West keynote speaker Francisco Ramirez, Mph said, “CatalystCon is a unique gathering of fresh, diverse voices in the field of sexuality. It’s well suited for anyone in the field of sexuality, whether a novice or seasoned professional. A conference as enjoyable as it is necessary, you can’t help but leave CatalystCon feeling inspired.”

“CatalystCon was a great opportunity for me to network with sex educators and people committed to promoting healthy, positive sexuality,” stated jessica drake, sexual wellness authority and creator of the DVD series “jessica drake’s Guide to Wicked Sex.” “It was an honor to learn from many of my idols in the field and to be able to contribute my own thoughts as well. While at the conference, I was able to introduce many people the Wicked Passions line of couples movies and Wicked Sensual Care products. My sincerest thanks to Dee Dennis and Wicked Pictures for the support at the show.”

“I was thrilled by how well we did with the first CalaystCon in Long Beach,” Dennis said. “The conference was filled with people from every area of the sex-positive and sex education communities. The seminars and panels were a great opportunity for everyone to exchange ideas and information. I want to bring that phenomenon to the east coast and keep the energy flowing to promote positive change.”

CatalystCon East is accepting applications for speakers until November 1, 2012. The conference welcomes anyone who has something to share and the desire to spark conversations in the realms of sexuality, activism and acceptance. Individuals, therapists, educators, media specialists, bloggers, activists, women’s rights advocates, health professionals, and others are invited to submit an application.
