(VAN NUYS, CA) — John Stagliano is returning to Berlin to promote his darkly decadent new film, “Voracious,” and he’s bringing Brooklyn Lee and Lea Lexis, the epic movie’s main starlets. They’ll be meeting fans, signing autographs and posing for photos at Europe’s largest adult event, the Venus International Trade Fair, on October 18-20.
On the evening of Saturday the 20th they’ll be the guests of honor at the film’s release party, being held at Club Insomnia, which Stagliano calls, “The finest S and M sex club in the world.”
The fashionably vampire-themed “Voracious,” shot in Budapest, Berlin and Los Angeles, got its DVD debut with a collector’s edition four-disc set released on September 27. Fans of Stagliano’s fetish-laden, sexually intense cinema are devouring the marathon movie (over six hours on two discs), bonus content (on a third disc) and music soundtrack CD. Critic Marv Montag calls “Voracious” a “unique and masterful vision taunting the fine intersection of wicked eroticism, pleasure and pain.” Fleshbot’s Gram Ponante adds, “As filthy as it is poignant and sexy as it is shocking.”
“To this day, I am in awe of the opportunity I was given to work with a true legend in his return to world of cinematic erotica,” Brooklyn Lee says of Stagliano. “Into this project, we poured our sweat, tears … And a little fake blood. It is with great pleasure I’m heading back to Berlin to celebrate and promote this very special film. And of course, who wouldn’t want to party at a German fetish club?”
Club Insomnia is where Stagliano shot the climactic scene from “Voracious” as well as a memorably nasty scene for his “Fashionistas Safado” masterpiece. Now the club will be the scene of the “Voracious” release party, preceded by a red carpet media reception and media photo opportunity. The red carpet event runs from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20. An invitation-only fetish party follows at 10:00 p.m.
