Fifty Shades of Grey – A XXX Adaptation from Smash Pictures is a romantic film adaptation of the erotic novel trilogy authored by E. L. James.
Fifty Shades of Grey – A XXX Adaptation, stars Allie Haze as Anastasia Steele, Ryan Driller as Christian Grey, Johnny Castle as Elliot Grey, Alexis Ford as Kate Kavanaugh, Julia Ann as Mrs. Robinson, Logan Pierce as the boy toy, and Jaslene Jade as Leila the sub, and is directed by Jim Powers.
Ryan Driller’s portrayal of Christian Grey as not the stereotypically romantic type is right on the money. Grey is handsome, intimidating and controlling. Allie Haze plays into that as her Anastasia Steele character is enticed and attracted, yet confused by him.
The plot loosely follows the book, their relationship being more romantic, but this film captures the book’s flavor of an emotional relationship that’s not as much about sex as it is about trust and commitment, but still with such a tasteful blend of hardcore sex that there are times when you will forget you are watching an adult film!
Whether or not you’ve read the book you will enjoy this film. Its portrayal is realistic and true to life. Anastasia is a naive girl that falls in love with a charismatic, man. Christian sees something different in her and takes her under his dark wing. She learns the philosophy of BDSM from him. When he finds out she’s a virgin he rectifies the situation using a condom for her safety. Her petite body and beautifully trimmed pubic hair make her seem even more innocent as he carefully trains her to be a submissive.
The characters display a whole range of emotions. Anastasia wants to be punished, then rebels. Christian appears to be saddened by this and falling for someone in a way he never has. Alexis Ford does a great scene as well. Her choice, meaty body and beautiful face, complimented by good acting, is always a pleasure to watch. The scene with Julia Ann as Christian’s Dom when he was introduced to BDSM is one of her best. Her performance is the essence of hot sensuality.
This movie portrays a very controlling man taking advantage of an innocent girl’s desires. She goes along with his advances. She trusts him and he appears not to violate that trust. By the end of the movie Anastasia’s inner goddess is happy – she has found her niche and she’s in it for the long haul.
Interest in BDSM may be from the realization that submission can be an escape from daily stresses and that trust is a big factor in Dominant/submissive relationships. It might be that women are pursuing their sexual fantasies. Whatever the reason, Fifty Shades of Grey – A XXX Adaptation is justifiably filling that gap.
Fifty Shades of Grey – A XXX Adaptation is garnering attention from social media, especially Twitter. Vice-President of Smash Pictures Stuart Wall says, “The women on Twitter are most interested. That’s where we’re finding a lot of our fans. Since this was a romance novel, those interested in the book aren’t the typical guys who watch pornography and go into adult shops, it’s women that find this subject matter interesting. The book is still the number one title on the charts for romance novels, and our market is couples and romance films.”
Danny Quinn, owner of Smash Pictures commented, This is our own version of the book – it’s hardcore – it’s the real deal. It’s a blend of book one and two of the trilogy. There are unique plot twists to accommodate hardcore sex in the storyline. Don’t intend to watch this like a run-of-the-mill porno, watch it like a mainstream movie that includes hardcore sex.
Wall continues, “We actually did auditions for the role [of Anastasia] and that’s where Allie Haze was the best. We went through twenty or thirty different girls. They read their lines for Jim Powers. AVN said it’s one of the best movies of the year and it’s the number one VOD on AVN.”
Quinn, interjects, “I’ll tell you what’s important about this movie. When you watch this movie you don’t feel like you’re watching a porn. That’s one of the greatest things about this flick that Smash Pictures has put out.”
