Jessi Palmer and Cassandra Nix feature cameos in new mainstream movie “Starlet”! “Starlet,” a new mainstream film, had its world premiere at the 2012 South by Southwest film festival in Austin, Texas this past week.
The film features cameos by adult film stars Asa Akira, Manuel Ferrara, Zoe Voss, Lily LaBeau, Kristina Rose, Jules Jordan, Kaci Starr, Jessi Palmer, Cassandra Nix and Tracey Sweet. Adult performers Ashley Blue, Richie Calhoun, Scott Lyons, Tanner Mayes and Zoe Voss also served as consultants on the film, which revolves around the unlikely friendship between a 21 year-old girl and an 85-year-old woman whose world’s collide in California’s San Fernando Valley.
The film is directed by Sean Baker (“Prince of Broadway”) and co-written by Baker with Chris Bergoch, both of whom worked together on MTV’s “Warren the Ape” (which featured a sequence at the 2010 AVN Awards).
