(LOS ANGELES, CA) — Adult Animation leader Adult Source Media is pleased to announce their company and family of studios they distribute have been honored with 20 AVN & XBIZ nominations for 2012.
While ASM continues to dominate the animation genre, they also received a good deal of recognition bestowed upon the excellence of ASM’s other specialized lines – Intimate Encounters(Romance/Couples), Nightingale Pictures(Lesbian) & Goodnight Media(Parodies).
Adult Source Media’s world-wide famous adult anime line led the way by garnering 5 AVN nominations for Best Animated release. Leading the charge was Alice in Wonderland – A XXX Animation, the adult industry’s most successful animation film of all time. A truly, legitimate cross-over film, Alice in Wonderland – a XXX Animation was not only a huge hit with adult retailers, but also reached unprecedented heights by being the top-selling adult film in Comic Book Stores throughout the US & UK, as well as a monster hit in FYE, the largest chain of music & video stores in the US.
“As phenomenal as Alice has done for us in the adult world, the sales have been staggering within our vast network of mainstream retail outlets,” said ASM VP of Sales, John Amatucci. “I’ve been selling adult anime to comic book shops & mainstream distributors for over 10 years, and to see orders for Alice to continue to pour in every week at the rate we are seeing is unbelievable. We knew we had something special during the creative process but when we scored a coup by having the most beautiful woman in adult, Jessica Drake, voice the role of Alice, this title entered a new dimension.”
XBIZ, the other adult industry Bible, also agreed and honored Alice in Wonderland – a XXX Animation with a nomination for Specialty release of the Year, as well as nominating ASM for Specialty Studio of the Year.
While still best known for their impressive line of animation, ASM threw their hat in the ring & announced the formation of a new Romance/Couples line, Intimate Encounters. The first release, Book of Love, starring Penthouse Pet Kiara Diane, was recognized by XBIZ with a nomination for Couples-Themed release of the Year as well as a major AVN nomination for Best New Line. ASM/Intimate Encounters will be releasing their next Romance title Brave Hearts in January 2012.
AVN recognized Nightingale Pictures with a coveted nomination for Best All-Girl release for the critically acclaimed Art School Dykes. The virgin directorial debut of Lesbian Superstar Lili Cade knocked out viewers with the steamiest girl on girl action of 2012, so it came as no surprise to see Lili & her gaggle of seductresses receive an AVN nomination for Best All-Girl Group Scene.
Rounding out the nominations, AVN & XBIZ Multi-Award winning Director Lee Roy Myers’ new studio, Goodnight Media, made a big splash with several accolades.
Sensational auteur Sam Hain’s Pron – a XXX Parody, set the barometer for special effects in adult films with nominations from both AVN & XBIZ in that category, as well as Best Music Soundtrack.
Adult’s most original release of 2012 was easily the Buckton/Bangs/Myers masterpiece, Man vs Pussy. The darling of adult film critics, MVP catapulted to the top of the industry charts & the bottom of consumers hearts with an AVN nomination for Best Gonzo release. The incomparable Spock Buckton received a richly deserved AVN nomination for Best Non-Sex Performance for his side-splitting role in Man vs. Pussy.
In what is without question the most eccentric duo ever shot on film, Myers’ Goodnight Media convinced Anthony Rosano & Kimberly Kane to get into character as Moppet Elmer & Pop Idol Katy Pervy and that magic combo scored an AVN nomination for Most Outrageous Sex Scene in Katy Pervy – a XXX Parody. Kimberly Kane’s comedic skills are only exceeded by her sexiness, so the folks at XBIZ emphatically declared her nomination for Acting Performance of the Year for her Katy Pervy role.
CEA took on the realm of Us History in a way that’s never been attempted before and will never be duplicated again, in the smash hit, Here Cums the President. Featuring spot on performances of several of the nations horny founding fathers, Here Cums the President received an XBIZ nomination for Vignette release of the Year. Without a doubt the funniest porn script of 2012, Here Cums the President also scored a Best Supporting Acting Performance XBIZ nomination for the legendary James Deen as former President Bill Clinton.
