(NEW YORK, NY) — Julie Simone has received yet another nomination. She’s one of the stars of the Dominatrix Diaries, which is an Official Selection and is a semi-finalist of the New York Television Film Festival’s inaugural a&E Unscripted Development Pipeline.
Created by Chelsea Downs, Dominatrix Diaries explores the lives of professional dominatrixes and unveils the intriguing underground world of fetish. Other dommes in the pilot for the potential TV docuseries include Alexia Jordon, Andriana Santos, Mistress Collette, Sienna Aldridge and Sadie Hawkins. NYTVF runs Monday, September 19 through Saturday, September 24 and the pilot will be screened during that time for a private audience of judges to determine who goes to the finals.
“I’m very excited about the possibility of this project possibly ending up on A&E television!” says Julie Simone. “It would be great to see some strong, powerful women on TV to balance out all the drunken reality TV sluts. Chelsea is great! Working with a woman makes me feel better about putting it all out there; we’re not being presented as a band of freaks.”
