About Phil Varone:
Long Island born, Phil Varone is an accomplished drummer, music producer and songwriter best known for his work with the bands Saigon Kick, Skid Row, Vince Neil and Prunella Scales. Varone has been a part of many multi-platinum records with these bands, and toured the world with such acts as Kiss, Poison, Def Leppard, Tesla, and others. In 2004, Phil finished his work with Skid Row to pursue acting and standup comedy, creating and hosting the very popular Sex Stand Up Rock & Roll Show. Phil found a home at world famous Hollywood Improv, produced and starred in the feature length documentary “Waking Up Dead,” and founded “The Master Debater” that can be seen on Thestream.TV. Phil’s passion for acting has lead to roles on Californication (Showtime), a commercial for Nokia Cellular and an appearance on NBC’s Identity, E! TV, various short films and most recently VH1’s hit show Sex “Rehab w/Dr Drew,” Celebrity Ghost Stories and Strange Sex on Discovery channel. Phil has also appeared on NBC news and numerous talk shows that include Oprah, Tyra Banks and the Today Show. Phil currently lives in Los Angeles and is the Cover and Centerfold of Playgirl’s winter 2010 issue. The publication included a 20-page spread on Varone.
