Myles’ Weekend Adventures: Bonjour mon amis! Comment ca va? Myles Shaffer here. Once again, that time of year has rolled around. Yes, I am speaking of the XRCO Awards Show. To learn who won what, please read on.
XRCO Awards Show
Wednesday, April 13Th, I went to the Hollywood Highlands to cover the XRCO Awards Show 2011.
Some people who walked the red carpet, and some who didn’t bother to do so, were: Aubrey Addams, Raven Alexis, Joanna Angel, Brandy Aniston, formerly known as Tatum Pierce (when I first met Brandy, she was a house dancer at the City of Industry Spearmint Rhino Gentlemen’s Club and had not yet entered into the adult film industry.), Angelina Armani, Brad Armstrong, Jessica Bangkok, Nyomi Banxxx, Rebecca Bardoux, Alektra Blue, Lizzy Borden, Anita Cannibal, Nicki Charm, Charley Chase, Dave Cummings, Misti Dawn, Dirty Diana (brand new talent), jessica drake, the owner and publisher of Private Dancer Magazine, Andy Enomoto, Eric Everhard, Gracie Glam, Tommy Gunn, Allie Haze, Jenna Haze, and publicist Erica Icon.
Other people seen at the event were: Erica Lauren, Jack Lawrence, Kaylani Lei, Miles Long and his lovely wife, Amber Lynn, the legendary Bill Margold, Magdalene St. Michaels, Shay Morgan, my editor-in-chief, Steve Nelson, Courtney Page, Kacey Parker (not to be confused with Casey Parker), fellow AINews.xxx writer Tiki Pavelle, Sensi Pearl, Jeff Mullen/Will Ryder, Aurora Snow, Lucky Starr, Stevi, Evan Stone and Sryen Spell, Eric Swiss, Lizz Tayler, Valentino, Taylor Vixen, and Sherry Wyne.
The show was hosted by Inari Vachs and Tom Byron this year, and the “Heart-On Girls” were Lizz Tayler and Sensi Pearl.
I had hoped to be able to state which presenters presented which awards. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to write everything I heard down faster enough. (I really should take a course in shorthand.) Therefore, I will now list the presenters that I was able to jot down on my list. And the presenters were: James Bartholet, Alektra Blue, Dale Dabone, Misti Dawn, jessica drake, Nina Hartley, Jack Lawrence, Ashlyn Lay, Devon Lee, Kaylani Lei, Lynn LeMay, Miles Long, Shay Morgan, Evan Stone and Syren Spell, and Misty Stone.
Close to half-way through the show, everybody took a break while the Evan Stone Band, Gangbang, set up shop and played three songs including their cover of Buckcherry’s, “Crazy Bitch.”
The band consisted of Evan Stone on lead vocals and Dale Dabone on drums. There were also a lead guitarist and a bass guitarist. I think the guitarists was named Mark Stone, the bassist was Barrett Blade.
Even though I am really not into that type of music, I must say that the band played very well and sounded great.
On a side note, at one point during a presentation, Evan Stone asked, “Is this mic on?” He then followed up with, “No, the audience is off!” (The people at the bar in the back were being rather noisy, as usual.)

I must now apologize once again, because I didn’t recognize or catch the name of the person who inducted the ever lovely Aurora Snow. Tom Byron inducted Dave Cummings. He also inducted Manuel Ferrara.
To finish out this year’s show, Bill Margold posthumously presented a Special Award to Peter Van Aarle. He then spoke movingly about the late John Leslie, and the love of his life, the late but forever great Viper. (Whenever I heard Bill speak of Viper, or I read anything he has written about her, it makes me wish that I could have known her.)
That will do it for one more year. I’ll be looking forward to covering this awards show again in 2012. Until then, everybody stay safe, have a great week, and live life as if there were no tomorrow!
Bonsoir et au revoir,
Myles Shaffer
