I’m not sure how this rumor got started, but from the email exchange below one can plainly see Eric Edwards is very much alive. Gossip can sometimes do good people harm, so let’s take care to focus on facts we can verify.

Steve,
I had a dream last night that I was dead, but I rolled over in my sleep when I heard a voice calling my name… Just kidding. I don’t know how the rumor got started, but I’m still here with the living. However, I did confirm this with Bill Margold. My first question to him was, “How did I die?” But, I hadn’t had my morning coffee yet! It occurred to me that speaking from the grave, if possible, the first question would probably be WTF?
Anyway, I’m alive and still somewhat well. The news may have been generated by another Eric Edwards passing. There are a few others on the net, one of them being a mainstream cameraman. Perhaps that is where the mistake was made. Please keep me informed if you learn how this happened. I don’t want to die in vain….
