(CHATSWORTH, CA) — Adult studios Revolution X and Digital Sin recently wrapped principle photography on “Star Trek: The Next Generation: A XXX Parody”. Over the course of the four-day shoot, the stellar cast of self-proclaimed Trekkies kept fans and media abreast on every aspect of filming through social network sites Twitter and Facebook.
Even cult celebrity Wil Wheaton from the original TV show was drawn into the online discussions regarding the filming, writing how performer Dana DeArmond looked just like the original Ensign Ro. The cast also includes Best Actress recipients Kimberly Kane (Lt. Crusher) and India Summer (Tasha Yar), as well as a mainstream Patrick Stewart double named Giles to play Captain Picard.
Extremely pleased with the shoot, Director Sam Hain says, “I am proud to admit I am a hardcore Trekkie, who dreamed of making this movie for the longest time. We embraced all the filming styles and visual effect methods from the original show to create an authentic look almost as impressive as the universally dreamed of sex scenes. Adding a cast of Star Trek fans further aided our parody, as each cast member’s love of the project translates across the screen.”

To cast “Star Trek: The Next Generation: A XXX Parody,” Revolution X placed equal weight on performers bearing a striking resemblance to the original actors, as well as performers with a rich knowledge of the “Star Trek” brand. In addition to Kimberly Kane, India Summer, Dana DeArmond and Giles, the pitch-perfect cast includes April O’Neil (Counselor Troi), Rocco Reed (Cmdr. Riker), Tyler Knight (Geordi LaForge), Bobbi Starr (Dr. Leah Brahms), Xander Corvus (Lt. Cmdr. Data), Lee Bang (Lt. Worf) and Tim Cannon (security officer).
Many cast members were required to show up hours before the start of filming due to the intricate makeup needed to capture each character perfectly. The prosthetics used to transform Lee Bang into Lt. Worf took over three hours to apply each day. Discussing his own time-consuming makeup process, Xander Corvus says, “I was covered head to toe in full Data makeup, complete with those creepy contacts. It was the most intricate and impressive shoot I’ve ever done. It was definitely a challenge to play a robot. I felt a lot of pressure to play him perfectly since he’s a fan favorite, and his sex scene will probably have the highest expectation. Throughout the shoot I kept reminding myself, even robots need lovin’ too.”
April O’Neil may have been the most prolific Tweeter of the cast. Her enthusiasm for the movie and her role as Troi spilled over. April says, “It’s really an honor to be involved in a project of this scope, and Sam really kept our enthusiasm up with his total love of ‘Star Trek’. I couldn’t believe the detailed sets and costumes. And having sex in space? Oh yes, please! It’s like the eight-light-year high club!”
Dana DeArmond was blown away by Wil Wheaton’s praise of her portrayal of Ensign Ro. Dana says, “When Wil Wheaton tweeted to me, the 12-year-old me just died. What a sweetie! I used to crush on Wesley Crusher so hard back in the day!” Unfortunately, due to parody’s placement as a stand-alone movie set in the sixth season, there is no XXX Wesley Crusher in order to keep with ‘the Next Generation’ continuity.

Revolution X took the same care with its sets as it did casting, story, wardrobe and makeup. The Bridge was recreated as a full, 360-degree set taking up nearly the entire studio. Intricate models of the Star Fleet were constructed for the movie. The Enterprise is modified slightly from the iconic ship known around the world due to copyright issues, but will still be recognizable to fans. After thorough research, Director Sam Hain and Director of Photography Eddie Powell shot the space sequences with the models in front of a green screen. The process precisely replicated the methods from the shows.

The io9.com article is garnering a ton of traffic. In it, reporter Alasdair Wilkens writes, “Everything looks amazing. They built an entire 360-degree set for the Enterprise Bridge, and the costumes and wigs really evoke the look of the Next Generation’s character. They even brought in a renowned Patrick Stewart impersonator from London to bring Captain Picard to life.”

Revolution X and Digital Sin are noted for creating high budget, pitch-perfect parodies of Hollywood’s darker material. “The Sex Files: A Dark XXX Parody” received the 2010 AVN Award for Best Parody in addition to Kane’s Best Actress Award. “The Sex Files 2” garnered a perfect AAAAA rating from AVN: “As good as the first ‘Sex Files’ was (good enough to lay claim on AVN’s first-ever Best Parody trophy last January), this one surpasses it. It’s more engrossing, more thrilling, better paced and filled with even hotter sex…’Sex Files 2’ reaches a bar once unimagined for an adult movie. Forget believing…the New Porno has officially arrived.”
