I often write about the negatives and dangers of the porn industry but tonight I noticed probably one of the kindest gestures of affection, consideration, respect and humanism that I’ve seen (online at least) in quite some time. The entire situation really took me back emotionally to my teen years back when I read romance novels.

A beautiful young porn star by the name of Kacey Jordan found herself in a very difficult personal situation as of late and indicated via her Twitter a couple days ago that she was contemplating suicide. LukeIsBack.com covered it – follow the link to read.

I’m sure that the young lady has many acquaintances and so called “friends” in the industry, but one in particular, Will Ryder (a director of whom she’s worked with on many occasions) dropped everything to go to her (from Los Angeles to Las Vegas) and make certain that she was OK (yep, a total knight in shining armor). Not too many things overly impress or surprise me nowadays, but this particular instance actually made my heart flutter, filled me with warmth and put a big smile on my face. It’s so good to know that though there are some people in this world who are only out for themselves (especially in the adult entertainment world), there are still others who really care and understand that life is about lending a helping hand and heart when you come across someone in need.
