(CHATSWORTH, CA) — On August 10, New Sensations’ ”Tru: A XXX Parody” was endorsed by Anna Paquin on TBS’ ”Lopez Tonight”. Anna Paquin, the star of HBO’s ”True Blood” admitted to not only being aware of New Sensations’ adult homage, but also purchasing every disc of ‘Tru: A XXX Parody” she could find. Referencing her fiancé and co-star Stephen Moyer, Paquin says, ”Actually, Steve and I were so amused by it that we got it for everyone on the cast and crew as a wrap gift.”
Paquin’s generosity left her without her own copy of the movie, so ”Lopez Tonight” Host George Lopez provided her with a DVD obtained directly from New Sensations. George Lopez says, ”You know you’ve really made it when your show inspires a pornographic film.”

Following in the footsteps of its mainstream inspiration, ”Tru: A XXX Parody” is becoming intertwined into pop culture. Upon its release, the parody was prominently featured on entertainment sites like PerezHilton.com, Jezebel.com, PopWatch.ew.com, BestWeekEver.TV, NYMag.com and ScreenJunkies.com. Snoop Dogg’s tribute music video to Anna Paquin’s character Sookie Stackhouse purposely contains the same distinctive wig used on Eric in ”Tru”. When Entertainment Weekly spoke with ”True Blood” creator Alan Ball, he told the magazine, ”We just found out that they’re doing a porn parody of ‘True Blood’. That’s certainly a moment of going ‘Wow, we’ve arrived.’”
