(HILLSBOROUGH, NC) — The kids, the job, the house, the bills… there are many factors that diminish the enjoyment of sexual activity for adults. A recent survey by America’s number one source for all things erotic, Adam & Eve (adamandeve.com/news), found that ”stress” is the number one reason people aren’t enjoying sex as much as they’d like.
According to the latest results from Adam & Eve’s ”Great American Sex Survey,” which asked over 1,000 American adults about their most intimate sexual behaviors, more than 46% of the respondents listed ”stress” as the biggest reason nothing is happening in the bedroom. Next highest on the list as mood killers were kids (30%), boredom with routine (25.8%), and health problems (22%), in that order.
The lowest selected factors were lack of sexual knowledge (6%) and partner’s physical appearance (6.8%). And 17% of the respondents said they always fully enjoyed sexual activity.
Chad Davis, Marketing Director for Adam & Eve, feels the uncertainly of today’s economy plays a big role in the findings. ”of course Americans are stressed,” says Davis. ”but studies show a healthy sex life can alleviate a great deal of that tension. Adam & Eve is here to help make that happen.”
